Where do I come from?

My cacao was sourced via Direct Trade from Kokoa Kamili in the Kilombero Valley, Tanzania. Simran and Brian work hard to collect cacao from various small farmers and then ferment and dry it with great care and love.

Brian and Simran always have a little radio playing at their fermentation center, tuned to whichever station comes through best, though their favorite music is Tanzanian Zilipendwa style!

In Utrecht, I was expertly roasted, de-shelled, ground, and tempered by The Chocolate Explorers — accompanied by a Spotify playlist chosen at the moment. I have been touched by many hands and brought together through combined effort so that you can now enjoy me. Ujama, baby!
