Chovali - Uganda 70%

This organic cacao is grown in Bundibugyo, Western Uganda by approximately one thousand independent farmers. On their farms, in addition to cacao, they also grow avocado, corn, beans, and cassava.

Latitude Trade Co. collects the fresh cacao, which is then centrally fermented for 5 to 6 days.

Afterward, the beans are sun-dried and blended to create consistent batches. The cacao is then hand-sorted and packaged in 62.5 kg bags.
